Grow Real Food is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and readers who use assistive technology. We want as many people as possible to be able to read, understand, and enjoy our content—whatever tools they rely on to do it.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These international guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor impairments. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the experience for all of our readers on a regular basis.
What we do to keep the site accessible
- We write clear headings and structure our pages so screen readers can navigate them logically.
- We add descriptive alternative text to meaningful images so their content is available to people who cannot see them.
- We aim for readable text with sufficient color contrast against its background.
- We use descriptive link text so the purpose of a link is clear on its own.
- We design our pages to work with keyboard navigation and to adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Adjusting the site to suit your needs
If you have trouble reading our content, most web browsers and devices include free tools that can help. You can usually make text larger by pressing Ctrl and + (or Cmd and + on a Mac) to zoom in, use your browser’s built-in Reader View to strip a page down to clean, large text, or turn on your device’s screen reader or text-to-speech feature to have the page read aloud. If you would like a specific article provided in a different format that works better for you, we are happy to help—just reach out using the details below.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Older posts, embedded content from third parties (such as video players, advertisements, or social media embeds), and some interactive elements may not fully meet our accessibility goals. We are actively working to identify and fix these issues over time.
Tell us how we’re doing
We welcome your feedback. If you come across any part of the Site that is difficult to use, or if you need help accessing a particular piece of content, please contact us through our contact form. Please include the web address (URL) of the page and a short description of the problem so we can help you as quickly as possible. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within a reasonable time and will do our best to provide the information you need in a format that works for you.
